MIAPPE 1.1

A new version of MIAPPE has been released!

Based on the developments proposed by EXCELERATE project and two rounds of Request for Comments from the community, the new version of MIAPPE:

  • extends the minimum information requirements to deal with observational studies (in particular woody plants),
  • improves recommendations of ontologies to annotate experimental metadata,
  • proposes a formal data model for MIAPPE-compliant datasets, that is compatible with BrAPI and ISA approaches.

The paper summarising the details of this work is in preparation. Read more on miappe.org.

A new paper published

Following the opinions expressed in Krajewski et al., we are presenting a new paper summarising the solutions proposed for the improvement of phenotypic data description:

Working on MIAPPE

Ongoing discussions between transPLANT partners and EPPN collaborators have resulted in introducing changes in our minimum information proposition. Most of them concern more detailed description of the environment in plant phenotyping experiments. The background for these changes is presented in our opinion paper.

The new version of the MIAPPE document will be published soon. We are working on formatting the list and preparing it for publishing along with the submission of final transPLANT project reports.

transPLANT project ends on 31 August 2015. The work on standards for phenotyping data will be continued within other initiatives where transPLANT partners are involved. New developments and results related to our up-to-date efforts will be published here.
